The following artifact represents the personal goals I created shortly after arriving at Kyunghwa Girls High School. It is important to set goals for yourself, especially during new experiences. The goals I constructed helped guide me in my teaching and cultural experiences while here in South Korea.

I have been self-reflecting the past few days and created some long-term and short-term goals for this study abroad TESOL practicum experience. My short-terms goals include learning more about the Korean language and culture to better integrate them into lessons for a more effective learning experience, have a better understanding of high school teaching strategies and transcend my early childhood background into high school education, improve my communication with students when explaining concepts, and improving my relationships with the faculty members. My main long-term goal is to be able to be open-minded when experiencing new cultures and languages. I strive to improve on being able to adjust to cultures I am unfamiliar with and understand the struggles the students must be having due to differing cultures, as well.
